Why it matters
Protect interiors without replacing the glazing
Ultraviolet light is invisible, so the cost of it only shows once finishes have bleached, timber has yellowed and stock has to be written down. Filtering it at the glass line deals with the cause rather than the symptom.
Because the film is applied to existing glazing in situ, an elevation can be protected without replacing units, fitting blinds or losing the view the building was designed around.
We survey orientation, glazing build-up and exposure before recommending a grade, so the specification answers the actual risk on that elevation.

UV film specification questions
Optically clear grades are all but invisible once installed. Solar control and tinted grades alter reflectance and light level by design, so we confirm the grade against your daylight and glare requirements before ordering.
No film stops fading altogether. Ultraviolet light is the largest single cause, and filtering 99% of it substantially extends the life of finishes and collections. Visible light and heat also contribute, which is why solar control grades are specified for the most sensitive interiors.
Yes. Switchable smart film already filters 99% of ultraviolet light, so UV film is normally specified for the panes that are not switchable - external elevations, rooflights and display glazing.
Internally applied film on a well-maintained elevation has a long service life. The manufacturer warranty issued at handover sets out the covered period and conditions for your specified grade.
